Daisy Square Door Hanger

A Photo Tutorial

The last couple of weeks, I have been crocheting away granny squares. I cannot wait for spring that I am having my own spring mantra to cheer on the sun to melt all the snow outside.

Have you seen my post on the Daisy Granny Squares Free Crochet Pattern?  This pattern uses those granny squares and you can find it here. It is a short and easy to follow video tutorial.

Materials:

Yarn: Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in Glacier (used in the photo tutorial) and Succulent

Daisy Granny Squares (video tutorial)

Crochet Hook US M 9.00mm

Scissors

Tapestry needle

Plastic rings (2.5 in, 6.5 cm inside diameter)

Abbreviations:

Ch – chain

Sc – single crochet

Hdc – half double crochet

Dc – double crochet

Sl st – slip stitch

St(s) – stitch(es)

Pattern:

This is how it looks like after the tassels or fringes are attached.

This pattern can be easily customized. You can add rows to make the door hanger longer if you would rather use more than one square. You can also add stitches if you want it wider.

  • Tip: If you are customizing the size, do not forget to check and make sure that you have enough room for the squares you want to put on your door hanger.

There you have it! I hope you enjoy this pattern and yarn bombing your house in the process. If you try this project, I would love to see it! Find me on Instagram @shelahknits.

Stay creative and happy making!
