Bluey is an Australian animated television show for preschoolers and I recently received a request for a custom order for a Bluey Color Theme set for a special family.
When I decided to do it, the first thing I did was to gather the materials and make sure that I have the right colors to use. For this order, I used my go-to super bulky yarn, Lion Brand's Wool Ease Thick and Quick, which turned out to be a close color scheme if not exact with the original theme.
Anyway, I am so pleased with how every single item turned out and I hope that this family would love this set as much as I do. I am sure these will keep them warm and cozy.
I do not often do custom orders anymore for items that I do not have a pattern for yet. It just takes a good amount of time to write and test patterns for completely new items. The hats were not an issue since I already had similar patterns to use. The scarf was easy except for the pockets that I decided to add at the end. I found a pattern online for the mittens so I just had to customize the colors and add the heart accents. Surprisingly, the longest time I spent tweaking on was the headband but the ending result was definitely worth it.
Anyway, I am so pleased with how every single item turned out and I hope that this family would love this set as much as I do. I am sure these will keep them warm and cozy.
